At Marc A. Minch, DMD, we work with several major PPO dental insurance plans. If you’re unsure whether we accept your plan, just give our friendly team a call at (561) 732-1777—we’re glad to help. Even if your plan is out-of-network, we’ll make sure you get the most from your benefits, will file your claims and will always provide an estimate of out-of-pocket costs so there are no surprises.

How Dental Insurance Works

When you pay your monthly premium, you gain access to the benefits included in your dental plan. Every plan is a little different, but most coverage levels are structured like this:

100% coverage for preventative services such as routine dental cleanings and X-rays
80% coverage for basic restorative care such as composite fillings
50% coverage for major restorative treatments like crowns, dentures and root canals

Unfortunately, cosmetic dentistry procedures are rarely covered. Dental insurance is designed primarily to encourage prevention, so that as your dental provider, we focus on keeping your smile healthy and reducing the chances you’ll need complex and costly treatments later.

Ever wonder what common insurance terms mean? Here are some important things to know about your dental insurance:

Annual Reset: Your dental benefits typically renew on January 1st, and any unused coverage will not carry over. For this reason, we recommend “using up” your benefits and coming to see us before the end of the year!
Deductible: This is the amount that must be met before your plan will begin to share in treatment costs.
Annual Maximum: This is the highest amount your insurance company will contribute toward your dental care in a given year. Any unused balance does not roll forward.

Dental Insurance vs. Medical Insurance

Although both types of insurance help with treatment costs, dental insurance largely focuses on preventative care and treatments, which is why most plans cover the full cost of checkups and cleanings. On the other hand, medical insurance usually steps in once a condition or problem already exists, sharing in the cost of care at that point.

Marc A. Minch, DMD is committed to making dental care accessible through our annual dental savings plan–ensuring each patient receives health-centered care that addresses their specific needs. Through this beneficial membership program, you will receive top-notch preventative dental services and discounted procedures.

Our annual plan for adults is $395 or as low as $40 per month, plus a one time $50 activation fee. For children 12 and under, it is $325 annually or $30 per month and a one time $50 activation fee. With the average cost of dental insurance nowadays hovering around $700, the savings are monumental! Our patients enjoy this membership option for many reasons, including:
