Advanced Technology
Modern Technology, Timeless Values
At Marc A. Minch, DMD, we are committed to bringing you the latest advanced technology to make your dental experience convenient and comfortable. Our state-of-the-art devices make your treatment easy, professional and performed in a timely manner. We understand that some may have fears about going to the dentist—maybe you’ve had painful experiences in the past—but we are here to transform your previous notions into positive ones where you can’t wait to come back!
Digital X-Rays
When you visit us at Marc A. Minch, DMD, we may need to take digital X-rays of your teeth. The purpose of this is to check for any cavities, gum (or periodontal) disease, tooth decay, areas of infection, impacted teeth or cysts. We may also take X-rays to determine if you are a good candidate for dental implants or dentures. Additionally, these high-tech images help Dr. Minch and Dr. Newton determine if your teeth, gums and jaw are healing properly if you’ve had a recent procedure.
There are many benefits to our digital X-rays, including the fact that they reduce your radiation exposure by 90% compared to older, film-based devices. They also capture images more quickly, which means you spend less time in the dental chair. Finally, the image quality is clearer, allowing our dentists to more accurately diagnose and treat your condition.
Intraoral Camera
Our intraoral camera provides us with a comprehensive, high-resolution view of your mouth with detailed pictures and videos. This advanced technology allows us to display those pictures on a screen, offering clarity and details far beyond what a traditional mouth mirror can provide. Using handheld wands, our team is able to swiftly capture the intricate details of your mouth and gums, making those hard to reach and see areas visible with just a click! This clarity allows us to better explain why you may need certain treatments. Additionally, having digital images often speeds up approval from your insurance company for the required treatments you may need.
Soft Tissue Laser
Soft tissue laser technology is transforming the way we are able to treat a spectrum of dental conditions in our office. With its laser beam, we are able to more delicately treat periodontal disease, place dental implants and remove ulcers. Some of the key advantages include:
